How did you pick your Vox name? Does it mean something?
Submitted by LeendaDLL.
"Mythtaken" is mostly a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference (a character says that they always thought the slayer was a myth, and Buffy puns that they were mythtaken; it's a joke that has always appealed to me).
I never intended it to be a handle for myself. It was what I called my first website, which was Buffy-centric and therefore needed a suitably referential name. Gradually the website became less about BtVS and more a general personal site. When I got a LiveJournal account, my original choice for a name was taken so I used Mythtaken.
Now I frequently make it my username on websites, simply because it's unusual enough that it's likely not to have already been taken, and it saves me having to be imaginative and come up with something new.
How many places have you lived in your life?
I was born in Swindon and lived near there until I was almost 7, whereupon my dad got a new job and we moved to a village on the outskirts of Basingstoke (yes, I have lived in two of the most notoriously rubbish towns in England) where I lived until I was 20, which is when I finally decided to go to university, so I moved in with my mum in north London, where I live to this day.
In summary: 3
What is your favourite way to relieve stress?
Lately I've been playing Sims2 a lot. You can play away whole days watching your sims get on with their lives, which is nicely ironic.
I do occasionally feel a bit voyeuristic watching them woohoo in the hot tub though.

God, these things are addictive.
Who's your favourite movie villain?
I quite like villains who have an element of humour to them, or those that just seem to be really enjoying themselves, so I'd say someone like Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor, or Barbossa from PotC, or Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Actually... forget all that. Do the velociraptors out of Jurassic Park count as villains?
I still sometimes have nightmares about them.
What books are on your nightstand?
Well, if by "nightstand" you mean "the unwieldy pile of books and magazines next to your bed that is now large enough to function as furniture" then an inexhaustive list might go:
Through a Window - Jane Goodall
Beyond the Stars - various authors
The Rough Guide to Ethical Shopping - Duncan Clark
Does Anything Eat Wasps? (Questions and answers from the "Last Word" column in the NewScientist)
The First Sex - Elizabeth Gould Davis
How to be a Bad Bird Watcher - Simon Barnes
Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese - Michael J Nelson
The Madwoman's Underclothes - Germaine Greer
Anansi Boys - Neil Gaiman
My Summer of Love - Helen Cross
Which is actually quite a good cross section of the things I generally like to read, containing as it does feminism, animal behaviourism, birdwatching, humour, film discussion, science fiction, environmentalism and Neil Gaiman.
The book I'm currently reading is:
